Looking back 2022: growth, growth and more growth

In February, we take stock at De Vlijt . What did we do and accomplish in the previous year? In 2022, we provided 65% more hours than in 2021. "A mega achievement," knows a proud Esther Meulendijk, director De Vlijt.

Good acquaintances

In 2022, De Vlijt processed 936,000 hiring hours, also known as flex hours. In 2021, there were 575,000. The flex hours involved 1131 unique hires and 2787 placements processed. This means that a number of borrowers had two or more placements within Feadship this year; they became close acquaintances at the shipyards or in the production plants. For example, a number of ZZP'ers performed various jobs at the finishing yard in Aalsmeer and others at De Klerk Binnenbouw in Moordrecht.

Suppliers

The number of suppliers De Vlijt also increased in 2022, rising from 249 suppliers in 2021 to 271 suppliers in 2022. The 271 unique suppliers can be divided into 149 ZZPs, 90 employment agencies and 32 subcontractors on direction.

"De Vlijt sets the goal of building successful, long-term partnerships with suppliers. This includes looking at whether a staffing agency can provide professionals for different Feadship locations."
- Esther Meulendijk, Director De Vlijt

Well-filled order book

Feadship's order book is well filled for the coming years, so De Vlijt remains undiminished interested in professionals who want to work on our yachts for a certain period of time. Given our high Feadship standards, we naturally go for the best.

Further growth

In addition, we will not be rid of the tightness in the labor market by 2023. For shipyards and production companies, this means a continued demand for temporary colleagues, to supplement with special expertise and at peak times. De Vlijt is therefore ready for further growth in 2023, in the number of hiring hours to be processed.

Eight locations

De Vlijt offers its services, to eight Feadship locations; Koninklijke De Vries Scheepsbouw in Aalsmeer, De Vries Scheepsbouw Makkum, Scheepswerf Slob in Papendrecht, Akerboom Yacht Equipment in Leiden, De Klerk Binnenbouw in Moordrecht, STI Engineering in Heilo and Royal Van Lent Shipyard Kaag & Amsterdam.
